The new experience, courtesy of the yoga community in Rochester, New York. I discovered a yoga teacher who ‘turned me on’ to something new.

Yoga community

The well-educated yoga teacher is authentically kind. With my recent eased exercise plans, I seek these beginning yoga classes.

After class one day, I spoke to the instructor about my new goals. She told me about a small business she runs out of her home that includes a float tank along and other spa equipment.

What is a float tank?

Well, a float tank is an enclosed, large vessel filled with the ideal amount of salt water needed for a person to float. Floating facilitates relaxation, the perfect state for meditation or sleep

My float, incredible! I went in the tank with a headache, including jaw pain, only to emerge with no pain at all. My body felt weightless. The darkness, music, and weightlessness make for a euphoric journey. The salt helped my sinus pressure that contributed to my jaw pain.

Getting back to taking care of yourself

Working, exercising, and eating healthy are essential parts to take care of yourself. Sleep and relaxation are also imperative. As I age, I explore different methods to improve in all of these areas. Daily, I use essential oils, whatever I can find that helps.

I urge you to try different forms of therapy for a stress-free hour in your daily routine. Obviously, it is not possible to money every day doing these special things; however, you can fit simple free things into your home life.

Free Methods

Draw a bath with oils or bath salts. Make time to meditate. Fit in a short nap. All of these things you can do at home for free. Then, try to schedule an outside appointment that you find joyful.

Take care of yourself so you can be the best you. The reward is how you feel after pampering yourself. Happiness can come from the small, inexpensive therapies.
